Josh watched as all 4 bwings landed safely back on board the McGrath, some sent home earlier than others. He sighs heavily leaning on the computer for support, exhaustion finally settling in. He finally realized he hasn't slept very well over the past few weeks, with stress of the battles and running of the fleet. Now he can relax. The BattleKing is no more, her escorts are gone as well, and the casualty rate of his fleet was very low. These pilots put in a lot of long hours and al ot of hard work, now it's time to head home to rest for a while. He presses a button to activate the communications channel to the main bridge, "Helm, once everything is secure, take us back to RS space, and home to Blethamore. I'll call ahead and let the Eagle's Nest know we're coming for retrofit and repairs. Please inform the Windstorm of our next destination Josh out." As he closes the channel the door opens and reveals Eric standing there.

"You alright? You kinda spooked the crew for a moment there." Eric says as he walks in and heads for the liquor cabinet behind the desk.

"Yeah I'm ok, just haven't been sleeping well. Now that the tour is over and the BattleKing is gone maybe I can get some sleep." Staring at the mountain of paperwork on his desk he sighs again, "You know, with all the paperwork there is It'll be days before I figure out everything that really happened. You know there is fuel reports, equipment usage, equipment lost, and if I look hard enough I'm quite sure I could find the amount of refresher paper used. Never mind what was used by the jokers in Green when Ste returned. Speaking of, how is Argon doing? It looked pretty bad after the briefing."

After Eric takes a sip of whatever he poured, he puts the stopper back on the bottle and moves to sit down, "He's ok. They're used to it I think. Ste's gone off the handle a few times in the past. Look, just leave the paperwork, I'll do what I can, you just get some sleep."

"I'll go soon enough, I just have to finish making arrangements for our return home. Speaking of, once we get back home let the new republic depot know that we retrieved four bwings and held onto them for safe keeping. They will be at RS command should they wish them returned. We're also planning the end our tour ceremony on the Windstorm, the McGrath would just be too small for all the people and what we have planned. Which reminds me, start packing, the PBF command staff is transferring back to the Windstorm. It was pointless to transfer during the tour, as we're both stationed here on the McGrath, but as command we should be stationed on the PBF's Flagship." Josh spins his chair around and reaches for his own glass of alcohol from the cabinet. Taking a quick shot and refilling his glass for later, he stoppers the alcohol and puts it back in the cabinet.

"Aye, I'll get the word to the depot soon enough. Transferring to the windstorm isn't a problem. It'll be an interesting change of scenery. Plus getting to know a new crew." Drinking the remainder of his glass he stands up and puts the glass on the counter and walks towards the door he pauses a moment, "I'm serious, I'll take care of that paperwork you just get some sleep."

"I know, I know. I just hate leaving things for someone else to do. I got used to running this place by myself. You're right though, I need sleep. Don't kill yourself doing paperwork. Oh one more thing," as Josh pauses to finish his drink as well, he stands up and leaves his empty glass on the desk, "send a message to the old folks home letting them know we'll be home in a day or two. Let the Eagle's nest know we're coming in for repairs as well. With that, I'm off to bed."

"Good night Josh, and don't worry. Everything will be fine." Eric smiles and walks out the door.

Watching the door shut Josh sighs again and looks back at the mountain of paperwork and heads out the door as well making his way to his quarters. *Now maybe I can get some sleep*

Pilots congrats!! We had a 57% reporting for this last mission!! That's amazing! Ok, tour 7 is going to be delayed a month. We will start it on July 2nd With the R2W (Hopefully, if not we'll adjust the story line and they'll meet up with us later). In the mean time, I have a filler mission that will be sure to test your skills. This is an Optional mission, but for sake of bragging rights I would like to see you all try this mission. This mission has you testing your dogfighting skills against various AI drones. The downside, you will be flying a Ywing. The upside, you can go as far as you can and get a mission complete. Details are in the briefing, so be sure to read it.

Now for 6.12 news. Top Gun goes to Damon Lightwind, Congrats! Mission Report Medal goes to Ste. Congrats and welcome back! Merits and Medals have been updated.

CO's please send me any promotion /medal requests as soon as possible. I plan on sending out the End of tour ceremony soon. Promotions will be done then. Which means, everyone get out their dress uniforms, it's going to be a formal party. Also, this is the last call for Red squadron/Valor wing stories you wish to have submitted. I know Red meant a lot to some of you, now is your chance to give back.
